Happiness Play finalist in Mentor Day of the Canary Islands

Happiness Play had a pleasure of participating in the 33rd edition of Mentor Day Canarias 2018 where the team have met and learned from the leaders of the technology industry and e-commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife from June 4 to 8, 2018 and also had a face-to-face interaction with other startups from the Canary Islands, Valencia, Vizcaya , Zaragoza, Madrid or Lleida.

It was noted that this week of acceleration has been attended by more than 80 startups from Spain and other countries, seeking to participate in an open innovation process and start up their businesses in the archipelago, maximizing the tax advantages and the entrepreneurial ecosystem that exists. Happiness Play was selected for the final presentation to investors with 3 other participants. Before the selection of a group of investors, we have presented our projects and have established the steps for a powerful investment by the local government. It has been an exciting week for Happiness Play with presentations from mentors for B2G and B2B opportunities that have dramatically transformed the business plan we are sharing with investors.

The awards to entrepreneurs were given by the CEO of the Society for the Economic Development of the Canary Islands, Sodecan, José Joaquín Bethencourt, whom we had the opportunity to establish the next steps for the implementation of Happiness Play in Tenerife, a community fully prepared for the creation of companies with high technological value.

The June program was co-organized with CIDE Network, an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Trade and Knowledge of the Government of the Canary Islands, promoted through the Canarian Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI), and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, with a co-financing rate of 85% in the framework of the Operational Program Feder Canarias 2014-2020. The acceleration week took place in the Tasca La Mesa Noche at the Business Center and co-worked with Dyrecto.

8- Fuerteventura: Cervezas del Mar, craft beer industry
9- Las Palmas GC: Vileague, Startup of contents and audiovisual services for professionals of all sectors
10- SC Tenerife: ecoACEROCanarias, Innovative solutions in cold forming manufacturing for the construction industry
11- SC Tenerife: EvoSocialSoft, artificial intelligence system for people detection
12- SC Tenerife: AguaCultura, Revitalization systems, and natural water purification
